We are taking up the challenge of Tough Mudder which will help to raise money for charity, raise the profile of the DCA, our industry, and the companies involved! The Tough Mudder 2015 DCA Team needs you to help us achieve that.
WHAT IS TOUGH MUDDER?
Tough Mudder is a team-oriented 10-12 mile (18-20 km) obstacle course designed to test physical strength and mental grit. Tough Mudder is not a timed race but a team challenge that allows participants to experience the exhilaration of taking on a world-class obstacle course, which will test your endurance to the max, whilst you raise money for a great cause
We are entering a 9 man/woman team in this year’s challenge which will take place on Saturday the 26th September in Winchester.
Kelly Edmond, DCA’s Membership Executive will be Team Captain, and the chosen charity which is very close to her heart is ALZHEIMER’S RESEARCH UK. There are over 830,000 people in the UK living with dementia today and this number will increase as our population ages. Around every person with dementia are family members and friends, in fact 25 million of us in the UK know someone affected by dementia. Research is the only answer.
The idea is to raise as much money as possible for our chosen charity so whether you sign up to be part of the DCA Tough Mudder Team or just wish to make a donation your support will be invaluable.
