The campus network is a critical component of an organization’s overall network and IT infrastructure. Because end users expect services to be delivered to their devices anywhere and anytime, with high performance and reliability, every link of the network becomes crucial for business productivity. This includes the vital last link to the user provided through the campus network. With new demands to support the proliferation of mobile devices, video and latency-sensitive streaming media, and cloud services and applications, there is greater pressure on the campus network and, by extension, the IT network administration team than ever before.
