Ark design, construct and operate the UK’s most efficient data centres, known as The Arks. Established in 2005, Ark is rapidly expanding to serve the needs of organisations that require nothing short of operational excellence.
Following recapitalisation in 2012, CEO Huw Owen came to Ark from BT Global where he was President of Global Healthcare to lead the new Senior Leadership Team. Ark also welcomed The Right Honourable Baroness Manningham-Buller, DCB, life peer in the House of Lords and former Director General of the Security Service (MI5) and Brian Fitzpatrick, CEO of Vodafone Carrier Services as non-Executive Directors.
Ark currently has two dedicated data centre campus locations in the South of England. Both Spring Park and Cody Park house high integrity, high security data centres offering an agile approach to organisations who appreciate the need for security, flexibility and sustainability.
Every Ark is secure to the minimum of Business Impact Level 3 (BIL3). However, customers can increase security as required at Data Centre, Data Room, Suite or Aisle level as part of the companywide zero tolerance approach to anything that puts a customer’s business at risk. The company’s culture is to be 100% committed to their customers. Ark is continuously and responsibly delivering tomorrow’s data centre needs today enabling the digital capability that underpins our modern economy and public services.
Ark Continuity Limited (Ark) is now a member of the Data Centre Alliance (DCA). The association between Ark and the DCA is a result of the closely aligned values and principles the two organisations share; including the promotion of industry best practice and standards across all aspects of data centre design, build and operation.
