After the success of Tough Mudder 2015 we are taking up the challenge on cycling London to Brighton! This will help to raise money for charity, raise the profile of the DCA, our industry, and the companies involved! The DCA Bike4Cancer team needs you to help us achieve that.
On Sunday the 11th of September 2016, Team DCA B4C will be joining 5,000 cyclists for the London to Brighton bike ride. Team DCA B4C will be cycling in aid of Bike 4 Cancer!
Starting on Clapham Common, the route travels through Mitcham, Carshalton, Chipstead, Banstead and Haywards Heath before finishing in front of Brighton Pier.
We are taking part in this Bike 4 Cancer event in loving memory of Simon Campbell-Whyte, Executive Director of Data Centre Alliance. Simon was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, ALK+ in September 2015. Through medical advances and research, this is now a treatable cancer, although in Simon’s case it was too fast growing, and despite his valiant fight he sadly passed away on the 26th of October 2015.
Simon was a lover of riding his bike, so there is no better way to honour him than making this epic journey from London to Brighton. This is for all those who have suffered, still suffering and have watched those suffer with this horrible disease – we can all make a difference!
Anyone is welcome to join us on this journey! If you would like to take part please contact Kelly Edmond on [email protected] for more information
Our donation page can be found HERE – any amount donated would be so greatly appreciated!
