The EURECA project publicly launched last week and was marked by a range of activities. The launch week which commenced on Monday 22nd of June with a joint workshop with the UK government’s Green Delivery Unit at London’s iconic One Canada Square at Canary Wharf. Tuesday’s Public Sector Show at London’s Excel, which attracts nearly 1,800 Public Sector Procurement specialists from all over the UK, saw the presentation of the EURECA project. A simultaneous presentation was given in Paris to the delegates of the ISO/IEC International committee for greening for and by IT.
Experts from around the globe were gathering in Paris for a week long debate and Plenary on new ways to measure and improve energy and resource efficiency. These new methods will form a key part of the EURECA project going forward and participants of the EURECA project are also concurrently engaged in the development of these International standards.
Finally as part of the EURECA launch week the project has issued an online survey for public sector participants designed to gather the views and opinions of the public sector organisations EURECA will assist, the survey is completely anonymous, and all public sector stakeholders are asked to participate.
