CenturyLink achieves Uptime Institute certification for UK datacentres

CenturyLink is today announcing that all of its UK datacentres have now achieved the Management and Operational Certification standard from the Uptime Institute, an independent data center research, education and consulting organization, demonstrating CenturyLink’s operational excellence. 

CenturyLink has adopted the most stringent industry standard for its data centers. This standard is proof of gold-standard training, staffing, policies and procedures. The local certification is also part of a bigger picture: CenturyLink is in process of certifying all its data centers across the globe for Management & Operational Certification by Uptime Institute. 

The Management and Operational Certification ensures that datacenters meet certain criteria, focused around ensuring 24×7 operation, reaching the full potential of the site and improving its overall efficiency. These criteria include:
