The Government Online Centre (GOC) is the centralised data centre for the Government of Mauritius to provide Government services to citizen, business persons, government officers and non-citizens abroad. Operational since May 2005, the GOC is managed by the National Computer Board (NCB), a parastatal body under the aegis of the Ministry of ICT.
The Government Online Centre has recently been revamped and extended to meet international data centre standards and is a reference in Government Data Centres in the Africa region. The GOC takes a proactive, comprehensive approach by providing its customers with the industry’s most potent security tools and techniques, designed, built and maintained specifically for enterprise-class application hosting and has made its reputation as a secured environment built around well defined standards and policies. Our partnership / membership with Data Centre Alliance will allow us to reinforce our position by tapping on the DCA knowledge base, but more importantly, to develop strategic network relationships with leading data centres in the world.
